2000 Toyota Tacoma Pro Street 2JZ-GTE
2000 Toyota Tacoma with 2700 miles on the odometer that has been professionally backhalved and tubbed utilizing a 4 link ChassisWorks Fab9 rearend housing, Koni drag coilovers, riflebored lightened Strange 35 spline axles, disc brakes with Wilwood Superlite calipers, chromoly driveshaft, and a Strange 3rd member with 4:11 gearing and a Daytona pinion support. Wheels are CenterLine Convo Pros 15 X 14 rear, 15 X 4 front. Tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros 26 X 7.50-15 front and 29 X 18.50-15 rear.. The stock 4 cylinder engine has been replaced with a Toyota 2JZ-GTE from a 94 Toyota Supra twin turbo. These engines are famous for their ability of being able to produce well over 1000hp on the stock block. The factory twin turbos have been replaced with a single Sound Performance SP67 P-trim turbo, HKS Racing 50mm wastegate vented to atmosphere, and a 321 stainless tubular racing header with full 3 inch exhaust. Fuel system consists of a rear mounted 12 gal. racing fuel cell with an Aeromotive A1000 pump feeding Aeroquip braided stainless -8an lines, an Aeromotive billet filter, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, and -6an return line. Fuel injectors are Siemens 1000cc units along with a Sound Performance billet fuel rail with dual -6 feed and -6 center return . An AEM EMS handles the engine management. An HKS DLI handles the ignition chores. A GM 3 bar map sensor, GM IAT sensor, and GM boost solenoid accompany the AEM. A Sound Performance shortened throttle body, AEM cam gears and Unorthodox Racing pulleys are used also. Transmission is a Chevy Turbo 400 with a reverse manual valve body, Midwest 4400 high-stall converter, TCI cast aluminum deep pan and a TCI transbrake. Interior features include a chromoly 10-point rollcage, Kirkey racing buckets, B&M ProStick shifter, and full Greddy/Autometer instrumentation which includes a 10,000 rpm tach, boost, egt, oil pressure, engine temp, fuel pressure and transmission temp. I have also added a PLX wideband O2 with digital display for tuning. Finished weight with a full tank of fuel is 2680 lbs. And yes, it is street legal and is driven regularly.
